Designed to recognize and encourage exceptional international students applying directly from high school, a total of three scholarships will be awarded to direct entry students entering the University of Manitoba in September 2027. These awards will be offered to international undergraduate students who combine outstanding leadership potential with academic giftedness.
One award valued $25,000 will be offered to a student who has:

Short-listed applicants will be ranked into first, second and third place based on the results from the award application and the admissions application.
Applications are not considered received until the application is submitted and the non-refundable application fee has been paid by the posted deadline.

Reference/Recommender details will be required by December 1, 2026 for 1 contacts.
Your reference/recommender will need to complete their submission by December 1, 2026.
Referees cannot be family members. The onus is on the applicant to ensure referee information is correct and recommendation forms are received by the deadline stipulated. References are collected in the strictest of confidence and will not be released to the applicant.
Once a decision has been made, all applicants will receive an email notifying them to log into their application portal to view the decision. Students that are offered admission will be required to confirm their acceptance. If you do not accept the offer by the deadline date indicated in the letter, your offer will lapse. It is imperative that your email account remains current and that you check it regularly or arrange for someone to check it in your absence.
