Pathway to Indigenous Nursing Education (PINE) applicant webinars

Mahkwa omushki kiim: Pathway to Indigenous Nursing Education (PINE) unit offers student supports to nurture the gifts, talents, and strengths of Indigenous students as they pursue a career in Nursing. Sit with PINE staff to hear about the welcoming community of Indigenous staff, students, and allies in the College of Nursing at UManitoba. This webinar will review the Bachelor of Nursing (BN) program and how PINE’s academic, personal, and cultural supports are geared to preparing students for entrance to and success in this program.

Canadian students of First Nations, Métis and Inuit ancestry are encouraged to also submit PINE’s paper applications. The PINE application deadline is annually on May 1. Applications are accepted once per year for supports beginning in the following Fall term. 

PINE applicants must have either submitted an online UManitoba degree application or are a current UManitoba student. Degree options include University 1, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science or similar.

Webinars will include a 20-minute presentation and end with a Q&A session. They will take place on ZOOM. Webinar link will be provided by email the day of the session.
