Admission requirements:

Application status:

Make sure to check your application portal regularly for updates to your application, including additional required documentation.
After a review of your application, you will receive an email notification to check your portal.
Please allow a minimum of 10-15 business days after you have submitted your application and application fee for your admissions team to review your application.

Application payment:

The application fee is:

$100 for Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and refugees
$120 for international students

You must pay the application fee for each application you submit for consideration in an undergraduate program. The preferred method of payment is by paying using Visa or Mastercard on your application portal.

If you are unable to pay by credit card, you can alternatively pay using Convera or PayMyTuition, however the processing time is longer. Read more about submitting your application fee on Step 3 – Pay your application fee.

Transfer credit:

We assess transfer credit from external post-secondary studies after we have received your application, which includes your transcripts and course outlines.
All transfers are subject to faculty, school, and college regulations and requirements.

Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)

UM will require a non-refundable $2000 CAD tuition deposit, paid by credit card, for students requiring a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) for study permit applications. This deposit will need to be paid within 10 business days once a decision has been made on your application.
